[ Respirometry ]

What is it?

Respirometry is a method to determine metabolic activity as measured by changes in concentrations of carbon dioxide and oxygen. Many sample types can be analyzed using respirometry, including liquids, soils, composts, plants, fruits and vegetables. It is a useful tool for determining product stability and increases in activity due to soil or water treatment methods. Respirometry may be a part of certain types of treatability studies.
